2020 UCTE SOUTH CONFERENCE

Debbie Dean taught junior high and high school in Washington before beginning her work with pre-service teachers at Brigham Young University. She has spent years studying and writing about the best approaches for teaching writing in the classroom, and has published several acclaimed books on the subject, including Strategic Writing: The Writing Process and Beyond in the Secondary English Classroom, and Revision Decisions: Talking Through Sentences and Beyond (with Jeff Anderson), and What Works in Writing Instruction.
