ABOUT US
UCTE
The Utah Council of Teachers of English is the state chapter of the national organization, The National Council of Teachers of English. We are a completely volunteer organization providing K-16 English Language Arts and Literacy educators in the state of Utah with an organization to further quality teaching.
Mission Statement
The Utah Council of Teachers of English supports English/Language Arts educators by providing opportunities for teachers to exchange information and discuss professional matters involved in teaching English/Language Arts. We offer research-informed resources and support projects that sustain and strengthen the teaching of English/Language Arts in Utah. We also maintain relationships with the Utah State Board of Education to support teacher certification, educational standards, curriculum, and assessment.
